Right side light sore throat, no fever, doc said very slight case of strep, throat feels better now before drugs, can i skip the antibiotics?

Was it strep ?: If the doc did a quick test and it is strep the natural course would be to feel better in a few drugs or not. The complications of untreated strep are less common in older adults but you would be spreading it in the community to family and friends. If no test was done, abx may have been given to give you something to do and it may just be viral.
