No: Au contraire, IgG indicates past exposure and usually indicates the presence of some protection against that organism. And yes it may last forever albeit may decline in level over time. IgM on the other hand indicated an active infection. Don't worry, be happy. If your husband is sleepy and does not happen to be one of Snow White's dwarves, it is not from Dengue.
