Inflammation or ?: infections more commonly expand from where they start, rather than jumping. And most infections are colored red. Does the bump hurt? What part of the foot? Generally skin changes that are larger than a pencil eraser, itchy, painful, bleeding or very dark brown should be seen by a dermatologist

Hard to say: With skin issues we really need to see them, feel them to get a good idea of what is doing on. Would you be able to post a picture of the bump? That would help. Dr R
