Puss: if u think it is a infected blister then you will need antibiotics. depends how big the abscess is-- may need draining as antibiotics may not work on an abscess if not drained.

Any lump or bump: should be carefully examined by a doctor. If it is painful your assessment may be correct and an abscess may indeed be present.
