Ubiquinol: is often used to counteract the side-effects of statins. Statins block COQ10 and Ubiquinol replaces them. You are correct in that after the age of 30 or so Ubiquinone form does not work well. I do not know about iteraction w/themed you are on. You need to ask the prescribing doctor about that.
