Can stress be a cause of raising cholestrol.My blood pressure isnt too bad but I have heart disease early stages cholestrol 8.2' im on statins.
My LDL is 172, OA is 246. Prescribed 40mg Atorvastatin. No family history of heart disease, normal blood pressure, slightly overweight. I have heard so much conflicting information on statins, especially for someone my age. Should I take them?

4-5 hours after drinking coffee(decaf) or iced tea I start feeling jittery, heart rate goes up, feel weak in my legs&arms,and kind of dizzy. I cant figure out is it due to caffeine or due to its diuretic properties?Why do symptoms appear 4-5 later?
