Myopathy: The myoglobin and muscle loss probably not from the cardiomyopathy, it could be from skeletal muscle, consider consulting with a Neurologist.

This depends on your: This depends on the status of the kidney, heart and muscles. Was the statin felt to be responsible for the ? This would be if you had a major statin myopathy with extensive muscle damage. This is unusual for the statins we have on the marketplace now. There was one that was taken off the market. Ask your physician to see a nephrologist for the kidney and a cardiologist for the cardiomyopath

Yes: Studies of coenzyme Q10 use in patients with CHF were dosed at 100 mg 3 times a day and studies showed improved exercise tolerance. Studies of coenzyme Q10 for statin-induced muscle aches are typically dosed around 200 mg once a day. Testing for cardiomyopathy requires a full cardiac workup by a cardiologist, treating muscle loss depends on the cause, consult your internist

CoQ10 OK for CHF/CKD: Studies have shown that CoQ10 is useful as part of a regemin to treat CHD/CHF and CKD. I would begin with 100mg dose. The CoQ10 is believed to slow the progression to CRF. Works best if urine output is > 500 mls/day.
