Stable gallstone: Many people live all their lives with gallstones and never have problems with them. There is no way to predict whether you will have trouble from your gallstone. It may enlarge. Sometimes they migrate into the small duct and get stuck, causing pain and blocking normal liver drainage, resulting in the need for surgery to remove the gallbladder. No need to do anything unless you have pain.
