Nonspecific: This is a nondiagnostic symptom especially where you are free of symptoms the rest of the time. When we awaken in early morning hours, the sympathetic nervous system is gearing up and,in your case, may produce some mild but transient gastric spasm. It is also known that pulse and blood pressure can rise in some people during this time of day. Therefore see your MD if symptoms persist or worsen.
