It is also not very effective for weight loss, unless you are diabetic. It may well be that you have a progesterone deficiency and that supplementing the progesterone would decrease your hair loss. Ask your doctor to test for this

I don't know how you got that diagnosis but it sounds to me like you should go see an endocrinologist and bring with you any test results of things that you already have done to you. You live in LA. Go to one of the University Medical Centers and get a good workup.
