Less likely: Usually the symptoms would not be so intermittent with temporal arteritis, so less likely . Probably have this evaluated further

TMJ: If there is temporal arteritis you get severe pain and tenderness over the TEMPLE. You will notice visual symptoms in time. Pain on chewing suggests a look at the TM joint.
