I am 62 year old male. i have a lesion in liver. in pet scan, they say it is ametabolic, is it cause for worry?

No, not really: It may be a benign cyst. These are common, not worth worrying about. Why did you have a CT scan done in the first place ? Do you have anything else wrong with you?
