Gingivitis: Since you are only 18 years old, this usually is a symptom of gingivitis, which is fairly easy to treat (unless you have ljp or post ljp, then it would be hard to treat). Gingivitis is inflammation of the gum. A good cleaning would be adequate. Ljp would involved antibiotics, scaling and root planing, laser, grafting, and follow ups with strict recall appointment. Ljp destroyed bone severely.
