TMJD: I have seen patients who when treated by a qualified dentist become free of pain and all the other associated symptoms of TMD. Having said that, it depends upon the length of time a patient has had symptoms, the degree of dysfunction, the adherence to recommendations from the dentist, etc. Symptoms can reoccur if the cause(s) return.
