Yes: Dysentery is a severe infection with the passage of mucous and blood and is usually caused by a bacterial infection such as salmonella, shigella, campylobacter of e coli 0157:h7. If these are treated with the appropriat antibiotics (in the case of salmonella and e. Coli antibiotics are usually not used and they resolve spontaneously) they can be totally cured.
