Enlarged neck nodes: Swollen lymph nodes are mostly due to benign conditions infections and inflammation, but can also be caused by malignancy - either primary lymphoma or secondary from head and neck, mediastinal, or lung cancer. General characteristics are that they are non-tender, progress in size, may become fixed, hard, and immobile with progression.
