Signs of heart problems in athletes?i have elevated hr during/after exercise, walking stairs, showering.pounding lower neck after exertion.visible palps

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exercise: It's normal for your heart rate to rise during exercise, but with normal cardiac and thyroid status your heart rate should return to normal after a cool down period of 10-15 minutes or even less depending upon how vigorous the exertion was. I recommend that you have a cardiovascular assessment by a cardiologist and appropriate testing will be done.
