Not reported but...: High doses of Vit. C are widely used and generally well-tolerated. The most common side effect of doses of 2 grams or more is loose stools and nausea. Other side effects are rare. In searching I have not seen any reports of insomnia. See http://tinyurl.com/zzz5rdx However, most Vit C is derived from corn. If you are allergic to corn you might react to corn-derived C. Try a corn-free form.
