Herbs: Valerian, lemon balm, passion flower, chamomile ; kava kava are herbs which can aid with sleep. Kava kava has been associated w some case of liver damage.

Yes: An OTC option is Melatonin 3mg. You take it 30 min prior to bedtime but you have to take it the same time every night for it to be effective. It helps train your brain to signal for sleep. It is used along side with manipulating your sleep schedule which a sleep doctor can help you with. Valerian root is another alternative that has helped some patients. Consult your doctor before taking anything
