No: There are some long bones such as the femur, for example, that compression through weight bearing can help it heal quicker. The metatarsal bone, because it is oriented more parallel to the floor, is not like that. Which is not to say that all metatarsal fractures have to be strictly non weight bearing, but rather that weight bearing alone rarely makes them heal faster.
