Platelet aggregation: The platelet test measures 2 phases - initial ability of platelets to plug leaks, and the secondary reaction of clumps of platelets to stick together (aggregate). Some drugs (like ASA or NSAIDS /ibuprofen) and other structural (genetic) defects can reduce secondary aggregation, which can increase risk of bleeding. Your result could be caused by taking 1 ASA weeks ago.
