Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, An M spike may be a benign monoclonal gammopathy or a marker for a bone cancer. You ought to consult the doctor who ordered the test as more information is needed to assess this finding.
