You are not able to control the types of protein formed by the body which is mainly by the liver. You have not given enough information as to if you have any ongoing disease process. When there is ongoing disease in the body there could be stimulation of chemicals and production of abnormal amount of certain proteins. The underlying disease has to be determined by evaluation for management.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, elevated alpha one is an indication of inflammation. You need to address the cause of this anomaly, which is like fever, you need to address the cause if fever.
