A member asked:

Will cinnamon supplements help or harm a person who is not diabetic but has hypoglysemia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neither helpful: ...or harmful. There's evidence of it's anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties and POSSIBLY improvement of diabetes in lab studies. However, so far, it's medicinal value is still theoretical and the dose required to produce an effect is unknown. If inhaled, it can irritate your throat and airway. I love cinnamon flavor, but can't recommend it as a medicine. Hope this helps. Dr. Anne.
