I currently take a supplement containing 160mg of cinnamon daily, but i don't know if it's ceylon or cassia. is this a dangerous amount of coumarin for daily use?

It isn't : different fundamentally from the cinnamon used in cooking. I can assure you 160 mg of the whole spice is teeny weeny compared to many of my stir frys. My baking book says a teaspoon is 20 times (2300 mg) more than that; and I use many teaspoons. furthermore, I know the cost of good cinnamon and I suspect they put 'supplement' on the bottle and jack the price 10x
