Things to discuss: These are perfect things to discuss w/ the doctor and, even more usefully w/ a therapist. You've been patient and if these are not helping it may mean you need to understand more about your feelings. It's possible that a different SSRI will work but maybe your problems are not all or mostly inside you but in your life. Talk to the Dr. Consider therapy. Best!

Response to Lexapro (escitalopram): It varies, but for most improvement tends to occur in2-6 weeks. Depending on the diagnosis improvement in physical symptoms (i.e., appetite and sleep) may occur first, while mood and energy improvements may occur later in this timeframe. If you experience any adverse effects or if things remain unchanged after about 6 weeks consider discussing further and even exploring additional options. Be well
