A member asked:

Longterm tightness&pain up one side of body.foot has just'collapsed' & underside 'stretched',walking painful, yet i am told no arch collapse.what else?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PTTD?: I wish I could see it. Even though you were told no arch collapse, it sounds like posterior tibial (tibialis posterior) tendon dysfunction, the most common cause of unilateral (only one foot, not both) adult flatfoot. Take a large piece of paper, wet the bottom of each foot, and stand. Do they look the same, or is one flatter?
