These type of symptoms can be consistent with an achilles tendonitis. There are multiple effective treatments for this type of condition. A treatment plan may include anti-inflammatory medications and stretching. Sometimes these symptoms may also present with plantar fasciitis.

The peroneal (fibular) muscles are located on the lateral (side of the leg for the little toe) portion, there is a long one (longus) and a short on (brevis). While damage to the muscle is rare, depending on the type of pain and duration, aggravations (i.e. Walking), it may be due to blood supply to the muscle or aggravation of a tendon (attaches muscle to bone). An examination is needed.

Could be achilles or peroneal tendons that are the problem. Any history of injury. Mri may be needed to isolate the problem.
