Lots of VERY REMOTE: possibilities here: first, you don't know if the raccoon had rabies. If he did, and he drooled or his saliva contaminated the water, the rabies virus might be present there in a VERY small concentration. Then to be infected this water would have to get directly in a person's eyes, nose, mouth or open wound. HIGHLY UNLIKELY. I would clean out the koi pond and not worry any more. Good wishes:)

Rabies risk: Rabies dies very quickly in water. However, a dead animal in water can still present other contamination issues. I agree with earlier recommendation to clean out Koi Pond. We left the cover off of over covered spring water once and a racoon dropped into the reservoir and drowned. We let fresh water circulate through for quite a while.
