I have some welt looking places on the sides of my fingers and they itch badly. what could this be?

Welts on fingers: Sounds like either an allergic reaction, or contact dermatitis (you touched something that irritated the skin). If you've been outside, it could be poison ivy. Or another chemical exposure from using a new product? Try not to scratch at it. Wash with mild soap and water. Use an antihistamine (ex cetirizine). Try topical steroid cream with hydrocortisone 2x/day. If no better in 5days, see a doctor.
