Yes: Without an exam it is not possible to go into detail. Usually a toe is easy to treat with a dressing which compresses the wound together. I use BIOCLUSIVE membrane this way with excellent results. You can also consider GLUE. Ask your Dr about these.

Likely….: but what is the big deal if you needed stitches? also, are you sure you did not lacerate a tendon? how is your tetanus prophylaxis? any signs of infection?
