Stop the Motrin: I would recommend stopping the Motrin immediately and call Poison Control (1-800-222-1222) because of a possible overdose. The frequency of dosing is every 6-8 hours and should be less than 5 ml since that is for 2-3 year olds. If your child appears to have vomiting, stomach pain, breathing problems or excessive lethargy you should take him to ER. They can check on original illness there.
