Mouthwash is better: Using straight peroxide is not healthy for the mouth. It can cause an imbalance of bacteria resulting in a super infection. It would be healthier to brush more often and use a mouth wash with flouride.

Not likely: Peroxide is not likely to provide any benefit. Floss, brush, rinse with a Fluoride mouth wash and stay away from sweets and fermentable simple carbohydrates.
