Sorry : Sorry to hear about your pain. However, this is not a question of money. It is a question of priorities. If you are truly in pain, you can get excellent care at a hospital based dental residency program for a nominal fee, or they will help you file for medicaid. In addition, there are community based free clinics. Search online in your area. Unfortunately you cannot treat this at home by yourself. You have to go see a dentist. Best wishes, .

If : If you have a deep cavity the pain you are feeling is because the nerve is being affected or it has already died and you have an infection. Either way, there is no over the counter medication that will provide an adequate level of sustained relief. Even narcotic medications will not be able to control the pain. Failure to heed your bodies warning sign (pain) could eventually lead to a life threatening condition. Contact your state dental association (not dental board) to see if there are any reduced fee clinics that can assist you. You can also check with local dental schools to see if you qualify for treatment. Failure to act could lead to an emergency that requires admission to a hospital where the cost will be significantly greater.

Unfortunately, : Unfortunately, there is no simple, quick or cheap solution for you. The tooth needs immediate professional attention, so at the very least a community clinic can help or lead you to the right provider.

Clove oil: Until you find time and a dentist that can help you for a low fee or free , try clove oil.

Not much: Depending on the cause of the problem, most medications are only a temporary help until the source of the problem is resolved. You may try to access a dental school or clinic for immediate help
