Lifestyle can be: very powerful in lowering cholesterol. Most effective are dietary strategies: limited saturated fat (meat/dairy), eliminate trans fats, increase soluble fiber, optimize weight. This will be aided by moderation in sugar, including alcohol, intake. Exercising most days of the weeks will also help.
