Rash?: One important clue to the diagnosis of eczema is that the rash is invariably bilaterally symmetrical. If he has it on the outer side of his right upper shoulder he will also have it on the outer side of his left upper shoulder. If he has it on the inner side of his right thigh he will have it on the inner side of his left thigh too. If it's not symmetrical then it's probably not eczema.

I don't quite: understand....how can you notice a rash that isn't visible? Perhaps something that was felt..like a firmness or bumpiness but not red or scaly? Of course, STDs--HPV/warts, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes--can all be transmitted through this activity. Eczema is not contagious (it's an inflammatory reaction) so I don't think you will get this. Practice safe sex:)
