Why does having kidney stones make a uti more of a concern? my labs suggest uti. stones shown on ultrasound.

Stagnation of urine: Kidney stones may interfere with the normal flow of urine. Stagnation of urine and damage to the epithelium by stones both predispose to infection. Drink enough water so that your urine is colorless to prevent growth of stones and to prevent new ones from forming.
