BIOPSY: Dermatology problems are visual problems. Without seeing it, you have to look at the border; is it irregular or notched? Any color changes? Size larger than an eraser on a pencil? Drainage? A biopsy of the area may be in order. Your doctor can decide after looking at it. Good luck. Dr. Latva

Easy as 1, 2. 3....: The side of your foot is a big area and a more exact location description could make the condition easier to define. The best way to get it "fixed" is to first have it examined and then have it treated appropriately.
