I choked on a carrot about 3-4 weeks ago and my voice got hoarse, and got better the next day. could the carrot have caused permanent damage?

Did: You cough it out? It is unlikely to cause permanent damage. However if you have repeat of choking, a video swallow / or EGD or GI consult.
