No cause: for "concern....ask your physician for a different beta blocker (they vary as to how much effect on receptors) The "right" blocker for you can be "titrated" to reduce your symptoms. Many people do not tolerate pulse rates below 45-50!!!! For the present, I would take your pulse before taking the beta blocker and OMIT if heart rate is below 40-45!! Hope this helps! Dr Z
