Hypersensitivity pne: Although there are many causes for pneumonia which can lead to death among those with immunocompromised state (chemo, elderly, diabetic etc) , one needs to consider hypersensitivity pneumonitis for those who have had heavy mold exposure. Rarely some may end up with fibrosis of the lung tissue impairing oxygen exchange. I am sorry about your loss.
