Depends: If the organism is sensitive (is killed by the antibiotic) then usually pretty soon in a few days. But if you have an abscess which is walled off then it may be difficult for the drug to enter and you may have to have a surgeon incise and drain it first. Good luck! And remember, that's why your mother told you to stop picking at your skin!!
