A member asked:

Is it normal for crps affected foot to have swelling that changes frequently no matter the activity? sometimes have lots, other times almost normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thoughts: CRPS affects autonomic function and foot swelling can be a notable finding early in the course. But if recent, need to assess leg vein issues, and even focal inflammation of an alternative cause. A NIVA vein ultrasound could be helpful, and treatment could proceed based upon outcomes. See your doctor.
