Not alone...: A cut or wound, anywhere, is going to put a stress on the body to affect a repair. Elements such as general health, blood supply, neuropathy, diabetes and yes even steroids can have an effect on the healing rate. It is difficult to separate out the level of interference of each of these factors introduces without a medical examination and a closer look at your medical history.
