I had a ct scan the other day for an pain. dr mentioned dense muscle tissue in rt butt cheek. what does this mean?

Tissue mass.: The CT has found a tissue mass located within the muscle of the butt cheek. The nature of the mass can be often times be identified just from the scan. Consult with you doctor for the detailed findings.

MR used with muscle: MRI is more often utilized to image soft tissue (muscle) issues about the musculoskeletal system. Increased density seen on CT scan is nonspecific and does not clearly make the actual diagnosis. MRI recommended if area of increased density correlates with area of pain
