One heel, pain, worse when resting (sharp stabbing pain intermittently), now seems to be travelling up to the calf. perhaps since i'm favoring the one?

FASCIITIS: Yes, heel pain can cause leg pain. The most common diagnosis, among many, is inflammation to a structure attached to the heel; the plantar fascia. Inflammation is called plantar fasciitis. There are many ways to treat this. See a podiatrist for further evaluation. Sincerely, Dr. Latva

Heel pain: can have a variety of causes. If you are not getting any relief a good exam will be able to pinpoint the exact cause, diagnosis and treatment plan specific for you. There are excellent natural treatments for heel pain that I suggest. Best wishes!

Needed heel exam...: There are several conditions that can cause heels to hurt. Some hurt more with weight bearing, some off weight and other hurt all the time. What is concerning is that the pain is now affecting your calf. This could be tendon or venous in nature. You will need to be evaluated to identify the true nature of your problem as it seems that the leg is becoming involved.
