Maybe: If you find it on both sides of your mouth, it is most likely normal. About 20% of the population have what are called mandibular exostoses. Ask your dentist to evaluate your lump.

Where?: Inside the jaw bone are the bony attachment sites for the tongue. On inside and out can be bony outcroppings called tori (singular: torus). Of course, any new or odd lump should be examined by your dentist asap to rule out pathology like cysts, infection or tumors.

Depends: There is normal anatomical architecture that you feel as "bumps". Is this a new finding? Is this painful? Is it a soft, depressible lump? If the answer is yes to any of these or if you have any doubts, see a dentist for an evaluation.

SOMETIMES: A bony lump {torus} can occur in the bottom as well as the top of your mouth.They can be surgically removed or left alone.

Don't know: This is not enough of a description to allow for a diagnosis but in general it is not normal to have lumps on your gum tissue. Please are you dentist evaluate this.
