Side effects of Zolo: You should never take PO medications without water as may remain in the lower pharynx or in the esophagus. The high concentration of a medication which may be toxic to the esophageal tissues, may generate an inflammatory response, tissue necrosis, and result in esophageal spasm. See a GI Dr. for an esophagoscopy/lavage of the area, and follow up of symptoms.

The quick answer is: let liquid trickle down your throat and see if it dissolves on its own. I assume you don't have any trouble breathing. Or, eat something like a big bite of raw bread and see if things get moving. A little Pepto Bismo will soothing the lining of your throat and esophagus afterwards. If you still have the sensation of blockage, the pill might have scraped the sides of your throat. See MD.

Zoloft: 1) drink water 2)Read the package insert ti check for side effects. Many psychiatric drugs have drying as a side effect.
