First week on zoloft, 3rd night of 50mg. i took the pill with a little water and within 20 minutes i was experiencing the worst fire in my chest, like heartburn x10. i couldn't get relief and it took ab out an hr to subside. is this normal?

Zoloft can irritate: Zoloft is an antidepressant medication. Like most medications they have side effects different from the reason the medication was prescribed for. Zoloft can produce indigestion, nausea and other side effects not linked to the reason the medication was prescribed. Speak with your prescribing doctor for a different medication or ask about using a medication to fight the gastric problems.
