Smashed my finger in a door and bruised it like a month ago. the bruise takes up almost my entire nail. the nail has not grown since. is this bad?

Possibly: Is there coagulated blood at the base of the nail or lunula? (part nearest the skin and closest to the wrist)? Does it still hurt to press on the nail? You could have a hematoma pressing on the lunula, cutting off blood flow. The lunula is the part of the nail that grows. Without good blood flow it may not grow.
